personAbout Me

Dr. Anitrosa Innazent earned her Ph.D. in Agronomy from Kerala Agricultural University in 2024, following her M.Sc. (Ag.) and B.Sc. (Ag.) degrees in Agriculture from the same institution. She served as Assistant Professor (Agronomy) at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences from 2021 to 2024, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, student mentoring, and academic coordination, and also worked with the On Farm Research Centre of Kerala Agricultural University and Feathersoft Thinkbio ai company. She is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Kerala Agricultural University under the Agroecology4Climate project, which evaluates transitions toward diversified perennial systems such as agroforestry to enhance climate adaptation, livelihood resilience, food security, and carbon sequestration. Her research interests include agroecological transitions, integrated farming systems, weed management, climate-resilient agriculture, and sustainable resource-use efficiency.

workResearch Experience

Dr. Anitrosa Innazent doctoral research focused on optimizing resource utilization in integrated farming systems prevailing among marginal households in the Southern Coastal Plains of Thiruvananthapuram, with emphasis on sustainability, diversification, and climate resilience. Her master’s research examined chilli–amaranth intercropping systems under fertigation to improve productivity and resource-use efficiency. Currently, as part of the Agroecology4Climate project, she investigates diversified perennial systems such as agroforestry and their role in climate adaptation, livelihood resilience, food security, and carbon sequestration. She has guided postgraduate students as Major Advisor and Advisory Committee Member in areas including weed management, organic nutrient management, tillage practices, intercropping systems, and water-efficient crop production.

Dr. Anitrosa Innazent earned her Ph.D. in Agronomy from Kerala Agricultural University in 2024. She completed her M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agronomy in 2018 and her B.Sc. (Ag.) in 2016 from the same university. She qualified the ICAR-NET examination in 2018. During her postgraduate and doctoral studies, she received institutional fellowships supporting her research work.
