personAbout Me

Devapriya A is a climate change and sustainability researcher specializing in climate adaptation in agriculture and livestock systems. She holds an integrated B.Sc.–M.Sc. in Climate Change Adaptation from the College of Climate Change and Environmental Studies, Kerala Agricultural University, India. Her postgraduate research focused on climate change impacts and environmental stress in small ruminant production systems. She gained research experience as a Technical Assistant at ICAR–National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bengaluru, contributing to an international collaborative project funded by the Australia–India Council on sustainable livestock production. Her work involved field research, data analysis, climate chamber studies, and scientific documentation. She later served as an Assistant Professor in Environmental Science, contributing to teaching and academic mentoring in climate science, sustainability, and environmental studies. Currently, she works as a Junior Research Fellow under the NFRF-funded project “International Agroecology Transitions for Climate Mitigation and Adaptation,” focusing on agroecological approaches for climate resilience and sustainable food systems. She has authored one research article, two international book chapters, and five national book chapters. Her research interests span climate-resilient livestock systems, agroecology, environmental stress physiology, and sustainability transitions in agri-food systems.
